The Singer 7468 sewing machine is not widely available but some sewing outlets do still have this model on hand. The stitch patterns and features are exactly the same as the 7469. The only differences between the two are the color accent on the front of the machines and the machine dimensions.

Singer no longer shows this as a current model on their website but it’s still a sewing machine worth considering if only for the price discount as compared to the 7469.

This is a solid, sturdy machine with a good sized work space that won’t be pushed around by heavy fabrics.

It’s a computerized sewing machine that the manufacturer believes is an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced seamstresses.

For sewing beginners interested in quilting and a solid starter machine  (or are simply addicted to decorative stitches), the Singer Confidence 7470 sewing machine is worth a look. It’s also a hit with more experienced sewers replacing an older Singer machine.

Its foundation is a heavy-duty metal frame (although, don’t expect the Singer style of years gone by – there are still some plastic parts and accessories) and described by Singer as an “electronic sewing machine which will be appreciated by experienced and novice sewers alike”.

The Janome 7330 Magnolia Computerized sewing machine is one of the least finicky machines for beginners (so say other users!).

It is the top of the line in the series and as I read over the features and functionality, I knew I’d just seen nearly identical performance in another machine review – the Janome AQS 2009.

Both machines are great for quilters, beginner or experienced, but whereas the AQS was built for portability, the 7330 is a full size sewing machine.
